Frequently asked

What is the Sunken City of Kekova?
A 2nd-century Lycian city that subsided under the sea after earthquakes — house walls, stairs, jars and a small harbour are visible 1–3 m down. Swimming directly above the ruins is forbidden (cultural protection law) but glass-bottom boats cruise right over them.
Where does the boat leave from?
Üçağız harbour, around 1h30 east of Kalkan by minibus (transfer included). Boats run 10:30 to 17:00 with stops in turquoise bays and at Simena (Kaleköy) for the castle climb.
Is the climb to Simena castle hard?
A 15-minute uphill walk on uneven stone steps. The castle gives a 360° view over Kekova bay and contains a tiny rock-cut Roman theatre. Not wheelchair accessible. Bring water shoes if you want to swim before or after.
Are there swim stops?
Yes — typically 3 swim stops in turquoise bays around Kekova island, plus a stop at Simena harbour where you can swim off the boat between the partly-submerged sarcophagi.
Is lunch included?
Yes — fresh lunch on board with grilled chicken or fish, salads and seasonal fruit. Bottled water unlimited; soft drinks and beer are charged at the bar.
