Frequently asked
Do I need a passport for the Meis Island tour?
Yes. Meis (Kastellorizo) is Greek territory, so a valid passport is mandatory for the ferry. UK and most EU passport holders enter visa-free for the day. We collect passport details at booking and handle the boarding paperwork on your behalf.
How long is the ferry crossing?
About 25 minutes each way. The ferry leaves Kaş harbour at 10:00 and returns from Meis at 16:00 — you have around 5 hours on the island.
Is the Blue Cave included?
A small boat to the Blue Cave is offered as an optional extra (€10 cash on the day). Whether it runs depends on the swell — when the entrance is too tight the boats stay in port.
What is there to do on Meis?
Walk the whitewashed harbour, eat octopus or fresh fish at one of the tavernas, swim off the rocks at the edge of town, visit the small archaeological museum, and take the optional Blue Cave boat.
Can I use euros and Greek SIM on Meis?
Euros are the local currency. Most tavernas accept cards. Your Turkish SIM may roam on Greek networks — check with your provider before you go.
