How long is the Lycian Way half-day hike?
About 4 hours of walking covering 8–10 km on a coastal section between Kalkan and Kaş, plus pickup and drop-off. Total time from hotel pickup is around 6 hours.
How hard is the walking?
Moderate — undulating with some rocky ground. About 250–400 m of elevation change. Reasonable fitness needed; not for someone who never walks more than 30 minutes at a stretch.
When is the best season?
October–May. Summer is too hot for daytime hiking on this exposed coastal section; from late June to early September we run early morning starts only or move to the Lycian Way’s shaded inland sections.
What should I bring?
Trail shoes or trainers with grip, 1.5 L water minimum, sun cream and a hat. A small backpack with snacks, swimwear (we may pass a swim spot) and a light layer for wind.
Is lunch included?
A picnic packed lunch is included — local bread, cheese, olives, tomatoes, fruit. We stop at a viewpoint or quiet beach to eat. Tell us about dietary requirements at booking.
